In 1997, James and Shannon Hiromasa opened the first Krav Maga school in Colorado, among the very first in the nation outside the original National Training Center in Los Angeles. What started as a mission to make people genuinely safer has become the most experienced Krav Maga team in the state.
James and Shannon are the first, and among the only, Wingate (Israel) certified Senior Instructors in Colorado, a distinction held by only a handful of instructors in the entire United States. They have certified Krav Maga instructors for three separate worldwide organizations, shaping how this system is taught far beyond our own mats.
James serves as a State of Colorado Subject Matter Expert for Law Enforcement training and is a court-certified expert witness. Together, James and Shannon have trained thousands of first responders.
